I was expecting it to happen soon but never thought it could happen so soon its like the 1995 Domain Rush for Twitter Usernames, I think a lot of nice Twitter usernames are already gone but i bet of a lot of nice ones are still left. To Trade Twitter username an aftermarket called Tweexchange has emerged where you are able to buy , sell and exchange twitter usernames.

TweExchange allows you to register with them using your Twitter Account and list the twitter usernames that you want to sell or exchange, and to prove you really own the twitter username you are trying to sell you are asked to login with that twitter username after that you can list price or something that you are willing to exchange it with.

But if you are still having trouble finding your dream Twitter username you can email email username@twitter.com and by using the below email template you can nicely ask them to give you that username as a new account or move your old twitter account to the new one.

• The username you want
• Your existing username, if you have one
• Whether you want to change your username, or start a new account with the username you’re requesting

But there are some restrictions. One is that the account must be inactive for the past 9months or if the owner has never updated his account twitter can email the owner about it but you can never be sure if you will be able to get it.

Well most of you know about the Micro Blogging service Twitter where you can post status updates of what you are currently doing and you can follow your other friends on Twitter and see what they are doing but some of WordPress fans like me wanted to get everything or something that is in Twitter into WordPress , and i started looking for Micro Blogging theme for WordPress and found one theme based exactly on the design of Twitter and i used that theme to setup a Micro Blog on Micro Diary but it was just the interface not the functionality of Twitter.

Now WordPress Founder Matt and has announced a Free Open Source Theme called Prologue for WordPress it basically adds Twitter like functionality to WordPress but its not made for extensive use but you can modify it to setup something like Twitter,but as it is it’s ideal for a community of 10 to 13 people working on a project or a small community of people sharing with each other what they are doing ,Once Logged in at the Top it shows a box where you can type what you are doing or just write a short blog post and add tags, some of other features of this Prologue theme are comments, permalinks, RSS feeds, you can also show Gravatars beside someone’s username and by clicking the username you can see messages posted by that user or click on tags to see posts with same tags, while the RSS Feeds can be used for almost everything you can get RSS Feed for the whole Blog , each author or each tag etc.
